BURLINGTON, Ont., - As this family-owned commercial printer
Battlefield Graphics Inc. celebrates their 40th Anniversary, they
realize that listening to their customers and quickly addressing
their needs has rewarded them with their longevity and stability in
the industry. This proactive approach has led them to invest in the
very first Heidelberg Speedmaster twelve color perfecting press
with double-sided MCS (Modular Coating System) and CutStar Plus
(roll to sheet feeder) in North America.
Paul Theoret, President and Jerry Theoret, Vice President of
Battlefield Graphics were also one of the pioneers to introduce
multicolor perfecting capabilities to the Canadian marketplace
almost nine years ago and therefore have built up extensive
experience in this specialized area.
This new Speedmaster SM 102-12-P will compliment their full
range of prepress, press and finishing solutions. Some of
Battlefield's vast competencies also include specialty processes
such as computer to plate output, high quality proofing,
spectrographic color management, UV printing, saddle stitching and
die cutting.
"We have always taken great pride in our leadership position,
especially how our dedicated employees interact with our clients.
This has resulted in proactive research and technology
advancements, such as this new acquisition," stated Paul Theoret.
"With our continuous and
steady growth I am sure we are soon to be a global provider."
The Speedmaster SM 102-12-P offers the capability of one pass
productivity with double-sided dispersion coating. This
configuration with MCS allows the sixth and twelfth printing units
to be utilized for dispersion coating or printing. Provided is the
option of 6/6 colors or 5/5 colors with double-sided dispersion
coating, depending on the requirement of their clients. The new
versatile perfecting and coating technologies will produce high
quality products to meet the needs of Battlefield Graphic's clients
in markets such as, but not limited to the automotive, cosmetic and
pharmaceutical industries.
The roll to sheet feeder - CutStar Plus, provides the cost
benefits of web offset without compromising the flexibility of
sheetfed offset. CutStar allows you to utilize cost efficient rolls
of paper and infinitely cut at the required paper length reliably
and consistently, which is particularly advantageous with
challenging papers and substrates. The end result is competitive
pricing with optimized utilization, which maximizes the client's
investment in print.
"To stay very competitive in the North American market we
have to produce creative products and consistent quality, without
sacrificing delivery time," says Jerry Theoret. "We know that our
latest installation will further enhance our ability to maintain
this position in the marketplace, by meeting the needs of even the
most sophisticated print purchasers."
