World's Leading Print Solutions Provider Unveils Technologies to
Make Printers Profitable
KENNESAW, Ga. - Heidelberg will demonstrate its passion for
the printing industry at PRINT '05 with the unveiling of its latest
solutions and technologies - all designed to make today's printers
successful. The company's vast range of prepress, press and
postpress solutions will be on display at Booth #1200 at one of the
world's largest gatherings of international printers, the PRINT '05
tradeshow, which is being held in Chicago at McCormick Place on
September 9 - 15, 2005.
"Heidelberg is committed to continuously developing and
introducing new solutions and technologies that will help printers
around the world make secure investments in their future while
increasing profitability," said James Dunn, President, Heidelberg
USA. "Heidelberg draws on its 153-year heritage and reputation for
quality, innovation and support to make the most sought-after
sheetfed, prepress, postpress and workflow solutions for its
customers."
One of Heidelberg's main attractions will be the XL 105
Theater - a special large-screen theater for live presentations
that will house Heidelberg's new Speedmaster XL 105. The first
product introduced in the company's new series of high-end offset
presses known as the "Maximum Performance Class," the Speedmaster
XL 105 boasts speeds up to 18,000 sheets per hour. The press is the
newest member of Heidelberg's Speedmaster family of highly
automated and productive printing presses and produces the highest
quality product at the highest speeds, on the widest variety of
stocks. Setting the industry standard for productivity, quality and
cost-effectiveness, the Speedmaster XL 105 is a must-see solution
at PRINT '05.
Outside the XL 105 Theater, the Heidelberg booth will be
divided into five solution areas to showcase new advances in each
of the company's major printing categories. Easily identifiable by
color-coded signs, these areas will include Quick Print Solutions,
Commercial Print Solutions, Industrial Print Solutions, Packaging
Solutions and the Prinect Experience. Each solution center will
house related Heidelberg equipment and will include an application
center, where booth visitors can meet face-to-face with Heidelberg
specialists to learn more about new printing solutions and
technologies. Each solution area also will include "expert
spots," or special presentation areas designed to highlight key
products. Heidelberg customers and other show attendees can visit
these expert spot areas to hear first-hand about technologies and
solutions available to today's printers.
Heidelberg's Prinect Experience will include customized
demonstrations of the company's Prinect portfolio of comprehensive
workflow management solutions. This seamless workflow management
system integrates and optimizes work processes in printing
operations - from color management to production and from prepress
to finishing. The Prinect Experience at PRINT '05 will include up
to ten workstations programmed to demonstrate how Prinect connects
the entire workflow of a print shop.
In addition to the XL 105 Theater and solution areas,
Heidelberg's presence at PRINT '05 includes the following key
statistics:
- Size of booth: More than 76,000 square feet
- # of Heidelberg staff at show: Approximately 600, including
