KENNESAW, Ga., - POLAR-MOHR recently celebrated its 100th
anniversary, marking the milestone event with a series of
festivities in Wiesbaden, Germany. The company, which was founded
by Adolf Mohr in 1906, has built a reputation as a technology and
industry leader and recently sold its 125,000th high-speed cutter.
Since 1949, Heidelberg and POLAR have worked together to deliver
POLAR's high-speed cutters and cutting systems to customers around
the world. POLAR cutting systems will be on display at the
Heidelberg booth #1200 at Graph Expo, which is being held in
Chicago at McCormick Place on October 15-18.
"POLAR has been a partner to Heidelberg for more than 57
years, and we are delighted to celebrate the company's history on
its 100th anniversary," said Jim Dunn, President, Heidelberg
USA. "Working with POLAR has been a great experience for
Heidelberg, and most importantly, for our customers, who benefit
from superior equipment and technology. Heidelberg would like to
thank POLAR Managing Directors Alfred Henschel and Michael Neugart
for their business and support."
As part of its Postpress solutions, Heidelberg offers a broad
range of POLAR cutters, providing customer support from sales to
installation to service and beyond. Today, more than 20,000 POLAR
cutters have been installed in North America alone. POLAR cutters
are designed with the latest technologies to break down bottlenecks
in the bindery and are available in a wide range of models from
26-inch machines all the way up to 69-inch machines. In addition to
cutters, POLAR also provides a range of paper handling equipment to
further speed the cutting process and save customers valuable time
at the cutting station.
