New Alcolor Continuous-Film Dampening System - Precise Feeding and Application of Dampening Solution

The proven Alcolor continuous-film dampening system has been improved further. Dampening solution is optimally applied to the plate in a thin, even film. Because so little dampening solution is applied, the sheets dry faster and can be finished sooner as a result. Depending on the job to be printed, the inking and dampening unit can be connected or separated by the intermediate roller. The new dampening unit is now also more user-friendly. It has become significantly easier to install, remove and adjust its rollers as well.

The Alcolor continuous-film dampening system can be fitted with the Vario function, which leads to much improved printing results, particularly when printing with high ink coverage and low-quality printing stock. The Vario option removes hickeys from the plate during the production run and thereby helps reduce waste.
