New Inking System - Accurate and Flexible

While developing the new inking unit, we paid special attention to making it extremely easy to produce top quality work while also greatly reducing startup waste. That is why it provides a constant flow of ink and an optimum storage volume. Solid areas, jobs with light inking and even difficult screening gradients are simple to produce perfectly. What is more, the new inking unit is designed for even greater user-friendliness: only a minimum of settings is required. Now it is easier than ever to install, remove and adjust the rollers.

The ink fountain with laser-slit blade allows for absolutely precise ink metering without undesirable side effects. One look at the position of the keys shows you the current color profile.

The optional automatic inking roller washup device increases productivity and ease-of-use. With these tools, the user can complete other tasks while the roller is being cleaned. With the optional remote ink control Prinect Classic Center, you get the remotely adjustable Heidelberg ink fountain for reproduceable color profiles in the thinnest layers and the ability to save recurring jobs and to enter data from the prepress phase. Productivity and print quality can be even further improved with the optional inking unit temperature control, as a constant temperature in the inking unit stabilizes print quality and ensures an optimal balance between color and dampening.
