Continuous-Film Dampening Unit Alcolor
The speed-compensated Alcolor continuous-film dampening unit ensures a stable ink/water balance. An even film of dampening solution makes sure that print quality remains consistently good throughout the run. The Vario function removes any hickeys by creating a speed differential between the dampening form roller and the plate cylinder. This function is included in all Speedmaster CD 74 presses.
Design Award to Speedmaster CD 74
The Speedmaster CD 74 from Heidelberg has been awarded a recognition to the most prestigious German design prize. It is the first printing machine to receive the Designpreis der Bundes- republik Deutschland, an award sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Econo- mics and Technology.
