Speedmaster CD 74

Innovative AirTransfer Technology Guides the Sheets Quickly and Reliably Through the Press, Even When Handling Difficult Substrates and Motifs.

It is remarkably quick and easy to set sheet travel on the Speedmaster CD 74. First you enter the stock thickness and sheet size on the Prinect CP2000 Center. This information is used to define virtually all the parameters for air-supported sheet guidance - from the suction head to the AirTransfer system between the printing units - taking account of material and motif, of course.

An automatic sheet arrival control feature at the front lays compensates for early and late sheets. The front lay guard is moved to the right height and angle for the stock thickness. The AirTransfer system, featuring patented Venturi technology, optimally transfers sheets between the double-size impression cylinders of the printing units. Patented sheet guide plates in the delivery guide the printed sheets gently to the delivery pile on a cushion of air. Another benefit is the fact that the elements of the sheet brake in the delivery can be adjusted laterally using a motor drive while the press is running.
