Flexible Coating System

The variable coating system of the Speedmaster CD 74 lets you use the best approach for getting outstan- ding results for every coating job. Parallel to this, the DryStar dryer versions ensure optimum drying on a wide range of applications to permit fast finishing.

In the coating unit, coating is applied either by a two-roller system or a chamber doctor blade system, which is optionally available. The two systems can be swapped over with a minimum of fuss to meet the specific requirements of each job. The chamber doctor blade system is especially good for even application of coating, metallic coatings and fine spot coatings. To change the amount of coating applied, screen rollers with different screen rulings can be used. The coating system of the Speedmaster CD 74 lets you remotely set the circumferential, lateral and diagonal registers at the Prinect CP2000 Center. So when printing from photopolymer plates, it is not usually necessary to make any manual corrections to the clamping bar on the coating form cylinder.
