A Harmonized Dryer Concept
A Speedmaster CD 74 with coating system can be fitted with several delivery options. Depending on requirements, configurations with extensions of 1.6 meter (63 inch) or 2.4 meter (94.45 inch) are available. For users who do not often perform coating work, the delivery is also available without an extension.
The excellent drying results achieved with the DryStar Combination dryer in the extended delivery, which includes infrared, hot-air and cold-air modules, is a particularly powerful solution which lets you capitalize on the potential of the press for boosting productivity. Water-cooled sheet guide plates prevent the delivery from heating up excessively. The dryer modules pull out on the side, making them easily accessible for cleaning and mainte- nance. Windows in the side panel let the operator watch sheet travel when a dryer is switched on, so corrective action can be taken without delay if any problems arise. For Speedmaster CD 74 models without a coating system, the DryStar Ink infrared dryer is available.
